About Me

Hi. I'm Laura and I'm excited you're here.  I thought I'd tell you a little about myself. 

I'm a 42 year old cradle Catholic, homeschooling mom of two, and happily married to my best friend for 18 years.  

In 2017 I had a deepening of my faith.  The scales fell away and God started to consistently feed me Truths I had never been taught in the past 33 years.  Since then I have been helping others find the Truth as well. 

Currently my life is filled with God, family, prayer, homeschooling with the Charlotte Mason philosophy, practicing the six empowered wife skills, and fun. 

As self-care is a huge part of my life, I spend my leisure hours reading good books, practicing embroidery or cross-stitch, chatting with friends, taking a long bath, or going for walks with my dachshund Rocket. 

My dominant Strength is Activator so here I am, hoping to be a catalyst for your growth as a wife, mother, and most especially as a saint.  We are meant to live in joy.  I hope that some of the things I share will bless you and help you to find that peace and joy in your own life. 

I have had a YouTube Channel since 2018.  It was What Laura Likes but after some time away and lots of prayer, I have rebranded it as Blooming in the Light.
